THE CARE SOCIETY

We believe in a revolution built on collaborative, project-based learning.

This means students aren’t passive recipients of information—they are active creators, problem-solvers, and leaders who work with peers, parents, and mentors to build real-world skills.

HOW THE CARE SOCIETY SUPPORTS THE CAREVOLUTION

At the CARE Society, our core programs turn our conviction into daily practice: a caring, collaborative, project-based environment where students lead their learning, create real work, and grow with others. The Mighty Networks community connects teens with peers, parents, and mentors; clubs and workshops spark curiosity and confidence; and learning pods and courses provide structured collaboration to deepen projects and build real-world skills. With the Family Learning Hub and Parent Coaching, families of younger learners get the guidance they need to foster self-directed learning at home. Guided by the CARE Learning Framework, students develop creativity, leadership, and life-readiness—rooted in curiosity and compassion.

  • Mighty Networks Community – Our members ages 13–24 connect online through a vibrant platform where they share projects, join discussions, and collaborate with peers and mentors across the globe.

  • Clubs – Student-centered communities where members explore shared interests, join weekly live sessions, and collaborate on fun, creative projects while building friendships and leadership skills.

  • Learning Pods – Small, supportive groups give students the accountability and teamwork they need to dig deeper into projects, pursue their passions, and practice leadership.

  • Courses & Workshops – Monthly offerings connect students with educators who design unique, interest-driven courses that stretch creativity and spark curiosity.

  • Family Learning Hub – Families with children under 13 gain resources, events, and coaching designed to help parents foster project-based and self-directed learning at home.

Parent Coaching– Resources and coaching help parents feel equipped and confident in guiding their child’s learning journey, whether at home or in community pods.

OUR STORY

Our founding members have come together through a wide variety of life experiences that have resulted in disillusionment in traditional education methods throughout the world. We have been connecting with other education revolutionaries around the world and made the decision to come together to reimagine education from the ground up. We have spent over a year building a team and platform to create an education solution that we believe will change the world.

Jimmy Edwards, founder of the CAREvolution, is an innovative education leader with experience in public, private, international, and homeschooling settings. His community-based participatory research resulting in the CARE Learning Framework demonstrated the power of trust and collaboration to transform learning cultures. Building on these discoveries, Jimmy envisioned a global community where students and educators learn together as collaborators, not in isolation. He now leads initiatives including the CAREducation Foundation, CARE Society, and CARE Learning Hub to reimagine education with curiosity, compassion, and care.

Elizabeth Wagner is a veteran homeschool mom who has successfully guided her three children from kindergarten through graduation. Throughout their journey, she imagined a community that would offer structure and community while still promoting self directed learning and empowering students. Elizabeth’s vision focuses on equipping families with the support, coaching, and resources they need to thrive outside of traditional systems. In addition to her leadership in CAREducation and the CARE Society, she coaches learning pods for younger students and provides family coaching in project-based education.

Rebecca Ferree is a passionate educator, learning coach, and homeschooling mom with over 15 years of teaching experience. After leaving traditional public schools in 2023, she embraced self-directed, project-based learning with her children. In 2024, she launched the NOVA pod—a small, part-time learning community in Northern Virginia—driven by her vision of giving children the freedom to pursue their passions and interests in a supportive in person environment with other tweens and teens. Today, Rebecca collaborates with Jimmy Edwards and the CARE Society to create real-world, project-based learning experiences that empower students to grow with confidence, curiosity, and care.

Their visions have come together to create the CARE Society, an online global learning community where students, parents, and educators unite to reimagine what education can be. Rooted in project-based learning and guided by curiosity, compassion, and care, the CARE Society provides families around the world with opportunities to connect, create, and thrive together.

Our remaining founding members have joined us along the way, each with their own unique stories, experiences, and talents as educators. Together, they bring diverse perspectives and strengths that enrich the CARE Society, creating a community built on knowledge, creativity, and compassion. Their collective contributions ensure that our mission continues to grow as a place where every family feels supported and every student has the chance to flourish.
